In compliance with internal procedures and accounting and tax regulations, the Administrative and Financial Manager in Sierra Leone supports the Geres Sierra Leone's teams for administrative, accounting, financial, logistical and human resources management activities.

1/ STRUCTURING OF HUMAN RESOURCES, ADMINISTRATIVE AND FINANCIAL TEAM MANAGEMENT

Compétences / connaissances requises

  •        Master's Degree in Economics, Finance, Accountability, Audit or any diploma related to the position (required)
  •        5 year-minimum experience as administrative & finance officer in international development sector (required)
  •        3 year-minimum experience as administrative & finance manager (required)
  •        Proven experience in multicultural team management (required)
  •        Experience managing large sized grants for a recognised international donor, ideally AFD (required)
  •        Previous experience in Sierra Leone/English speaking's West African countries ( highly appreciated)
  •        Fluency in English both written and spoken; Advanced knowledge of French both written and spoken (required)
  •        Excellent command of Excel and classic IT tools (Word, Power Point) (required)
  •        Knowledge of the rules of the main public donors (AFD, EuropeAid, WorldBank) (appreciated)
  •        Good knowledge of accounting and management of accounting software (appreciated)
  •        Legal and HR knowledge(appreciated)
  •        Proven skills in human management, capacity to coach, mentor and build capacities of national colleagues (required)
  •        Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to establish contact with people from different background and cultures (appreciated)
  •        Rigor, autonomy, method, flexibility, organisation and attention to detail especially in meeting deadlines (required)
  •        Working knowledge of Sierra Leone local languages (Krio, Mende, Temne) (appreciated)

Autres

·         Fixed-term contract, duration: 12 months (renewable, with funding acquired)

·         Desired start date: As soon as possible 

·         Full time (204 days worked with approximately 22 days of recovery for a full year)

·         26 paid leaves per year

·         Position based in Freetown, Sierra Leone, with travels to project sites regionally, travels abroad, within France

Monthly salary on recruitment in line with the Geres salary scale according to profile and experience between 2 380 € et 2972 € gross monthly salary
·         For eligible candidates, regarding remuneration policy:

o    Expatriation allowance of 377 € paid on site, annual leaves bonus

o    Luggage allowance

1 flight tickets per year (home – place of expatriation)
Health insurance (50% covered by Geres), life/invalidity insurance, retirement, unemployment, repatriation insurance
·         Supplementary health insurance

·         Repatriation insurance
